Senior Strategic Planner (IMC)

YOUR ROLE
A. Main Objective:
As a Senior Strategic Planner, you will lead strategic thinking and turn data, insights, and business objectives into clear, actionable direction for integrated (IMC) and commerce-driven campaigns. You are the “strategic backbone” connecting Client – Account – Creative – Media – Performance, ensuring consistency from strategy to execution.

B. Key Responsibilities:
1. Research & Problem Definition:
    - Study client briefs and align with your supervisor/ strategy lead on key research needs.
    - Conduct desk research (category, market, competitors, consumers, culture) and consolidate available data (social listening, platform reports, past campaign performance).
    - Distill findings into a clear problem statement, key challenge, and strategic opportunity.
2. Insight-to-Idea Translation:
    - Propose strategic routes/territories to solve the key challenge and align on the best direction.
    - Translate consumer insights into actionable creative propositions (what to say + why it will work).
    - Support briefing and early ideation with creative teams through strong strategic guidance.
3. Lead (IMC Framework, Channel Story, Proposal & Pitch):
    - Build IMC frameworks: audience segmentation, journey, key message architecture, big idea, and channel roles.
    - Bring the big idea to life through coherent phasing and touchpoint planning (campaign story across channels).
    - Partner with specialists (Creative, Social, PR, Media/Performance/eCommerce) to develop feasible and detailed activations per channel/touchpoint.
    - Create content architecture and direction for social/content calendar (strategic structure and themes; execution owned by Social/Content team).
    - Own the proposal storyline: build decks, lead internal alignment, present to clients, and take charge of revisions.
4. Measurement & Optimization:
    - Monitor campaign performance with relevant teams and identify what’s working vs. what isn’t.
    - Understand basic media principles and how media impacts communication planning and outcomes.
    - Conduct post-campaign reviews and convert results into clear learnings and next-step recommendations.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- University graduate majoring in Advertising/Marketing/Digital/Communication or related field is preferred.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience as a Strategic Planner or strategic role in an agency.
- Proven experience leading strategies across categories and major pitches/proposals.
- Strong understanding of digital and integrated communications.
- Strong strategic, holistic, and business-oriented thinking.
- High ownership mindset and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills (Both in Vietnamese and English).

TIME & LOCATION
- Working hours: 09:00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday (Saturday is flexible: Work can be conducted either online or on-site, depending on the actual volume and nature of the workload).
