From 12 to 14 February 2026, Prime Commerce successfully conducted the Sabah SME E-Commerce Training Programme at Wisma Tun Fuad Stephens, Kota Kinabalu. The programme marked an important milestone in empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Sabah to seize opportunities in the digital economy through the Unifi E-Commerce Hub (ECH) platform.

Building a Strong Foundation for Digital Transformation

As Malaysia’s digital economy enters a period of rapid growth, digital capabilities have become a key driver for SMEs seeking sustainable business expansion. To support this transition, Prime Commerce designed the Unifi ECH training programme to help businesses not only access digital technologies but also apply them effectively to achieve long-term commercial success.

The programme attracted participants from a wide range of industries across Sabah. Through a series of hands-on training sessions, attendees gained practical knowledge in e-commerce fundamentals, AI-powered website creation, and essential digital marketing strategies, equipping them with the skills needed to establish and grow their online businesses.

The event was also broadcast live on a local national television network, further amplifying its impact and raising awareness of the programme. The Vietnamese-developed technology solution received highly positive feedback from the local business community, with participants recognising its practicality, accessibility, and potential to accelerate digital transformation for SMEs.

Positive Response from the Business Community

The programme’s success was reflected not only in its training outcomes but also in the overwhelmingly positive feedback from participating businesses.

One of the programme’s greatest strengths was the dedication of its trainers and support team. Participants praised their professionalism, patience, and hands-on guidance throughout the sessions, enabling them to quickly grasp new concepts and confidently apply them to their own businesses.

Learning by doing

Participants identified the live website-building workshops as the programme’s most valuable component, giving them first-hand experience in setting up and managing an online business.

In particular, the platform’s AI-powered website creation feature received widespread recognition for making website development simple and accessible. Even participants with no prior coding or web development experience were able to create functional websites with ease, significantly lowering the technical barriers to digital adoption.

More importantly, many participants shared that the programme had opened up new growth opportunities for their businesses. From expanding customer reach to accelerating their digital transformation journey, the knowledge and tools acquired through the programme have laid a solid foundation for future business development.

Looking ahead, Prime Commerce will continue to introduce practical digital solutions and capacity-building initiatives, reaffirming its commitment to supporting Malaysia’s SME community as they embrace digital transformation and unlock new opportunities across the ASEAN market.
